Pakistan violated ceasefire at international border in Hiranagar sector, Kathua district in the Indian Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

Pakistani Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling.

During the Pakistan’s violation of ceasefire, amidst firing and shelling, civilian areas were also targeted.

A similar ceasefire violation by Pakistani Rangers was seen on Monday as well when they targeted forward posts with small fire arms along the international border in Kathua district.

There was no report of any casualty or damage in the firing on Monday.

The unprovoked firing on Monday from across the border in Manyari-Chorgali area in Hiranagar sector started around 8.30 pm.

The officials said the Border Security Force retaliated.
